This is where you can experience the joys of the so-called “île lumineuse”: 80km of coastline including 50km of beach, cycle paths through marshland, untamed countryside and forest, the beauty of the oyster huts and fishing hamlets, oyster flavours and a micro-climate in all seasons where Oléron’s iconic flower, mimosa, grows from January onwards.
There’s even a horse riding centre on site, which offers lessons for all ages and abilities as well as pony rides for children.
On the beaches nearby are facilities for surfing, scuba diving and other water sports for fitness fans, or just relax and recharge your batteries
