Camping Bois Pleuven with Canvas Holidays

Camping le Bois de Pleuven is a 4* campsite situated halfway between Quimper and Concarneau, a 15 minute drive from the coast. The location of the site means a car would be essential for getting out and about.

There are plenty of facilities for all here - the indoor and outdoor pool area is just great for a swim, an aqua aerobics class or a little paddle. The animations team organise plenty of activities to keep children entertained. Plus there's plenty to enjoy as a family - mini golf, badminton, tennis and the traditional French game of boules. While there isn't a restaurant on site, the bar and takeaway are good for a relaxing meal, or the surrounding towns have many restaurants which you can enjoy.Camping le Blois de Pleuven

Round and about

Camping le Bois de Pleuven is situated in a wooded park, just 15 minutes from the coast and close to many traditional Breton towns with all their history to discover. Probably the best ferryport to use for this campsite would be Roscoff or St Malo which is a little further away.

A 10 minute drive away from the site is the walled city of Concarneau which is one of the major fishing ports in France, and certainly the largest in Brittany and it’s fascinating to see all of the fishing boats and fishermen going about their daily business. Get there early doors and you can buy fish straight from the boat. You can’t get it fresher than that!

The highlight of the city is taking a walk around the ramparts where you get fantastic views over the water. There are beaches nearby where activities take place during the summer months.

The historic city of Quimper is known as the heart of Brittany and has a beautiful old quarter with a cathedral.

To make the most of the natural surroundings pack a picnic and take a 30 minute drive to the Regional Natural Park of Brittany. Here you can enjoy walking and cycling trails.
