Camping holidays in and around Raguenes Plage, Finistere

Nearest port: Roscoff - 162km; Nearest airport: Lorient - 40km

Raguenes Plage is a tiny little place on the southern coast of the department of Finistere in Brittany. It is a camping resort with some great beaches which are ideal for those wishing to get away from it all, and this resort has proved to be a favourite with families who return to the area year after year.
Please see our page about the campsite called Camping Raguénès-Plage

The countryside around Raguenes is delightful and perfect for wandering around in, for spotting wildlife and generally having a laid back time.

Raguenes is close to other camping resorts of Benodet, Beg-Meil and Fouesnant, as well as being Raguenes beachnear to Concarneau which is one of the busiest fishing ports in the whole of France.

For one day out of your camping holiday here you could pay a visit to the historic city of Quimper which, as the oldest city, serves as the capital of the Finistere department, and the centre of this old city is located where the rivers Odet and Steir meet.

In the heart of the old part of the city the streets are cobbled and medieval half timber buildings are quite common. The city of Quimper, however, has grown since its founding in the 17th century, and as a result of the growth the historic buildings are interspersed with modern structures that were constructed to fit in with the historic architecture already in place.

More beach at Raguenes PlageA visit to Quimper is time well spent but as many of the streets are pedestrianised and cobbled you would be best parking the car up and walking.

When you are enjoying a camping holiday in Raguenes Plage you will find that there is so much to do and see that you may find you need to book another holiday there to fit it all in!
