Camping holidays in Perros-Guirec in northern Brittany

Perros-Guirec was really developed as a tourist town in the first place because of its fantastic location looking out onto the Cote de Granit Rose (Pink granite coast) as it does, so it was well placed when the trend for camping and mobile home holidays began.
Though a busy tourist resort, Perros is perhaps not the most exciting of towns, perhaps because it was "custom made", but in the part of the town near the beach the streets are lined with palm-trees and stone villas with slate roofs and the beach is lovely.
Perros truly is a nice place for a camping holiday and when you are on the main beach you may notice a small cove which is sheltered by rocky outlets on both sides. These rocky places have had some lovely villas erected on them.
This is not called the Pink Granite coast for nothing, and you will see the stuff everywhere, and we wonder just how much a lorry load of it would be worth to a builder here in the UK? A small fortune most probably.
Camping holidays if they are near the sea, whether they be here in Perros or elsewhere, need to have a nice beach or two nearby, and the Trestignel beach at Perros-Guirec you will find to be one of the best beaches in Brittany.
There are some wonderful walks around here and one such is on the coastal path which runs from the beach - Plage de Trestraou - in Perros-Guirec around to the fishing village at Ploumanac'h and on to Pointe de Squewel.
This cliff walk winds in and out and around to reveal lots of the beautiful pink rocks after which the coast is named, and this particular stretch has lots of rocks sculpted into fantastical shapes by the sea.
One can never become bored with a scenic area such as this in northern Brittany which so much resembles the countryside in Cornwall to which it was joined until about 10,000 years ago.
There are little coves all over the place just waiting to be discovered by you and your family, so with all this we are certain you will love your camping holiday in Perros.
