Camping de l'Atlantique at Beg-Meil in southern Brittany

From Eurocamp

From Canvas Holidays

How do you like your water slides? Bumpy and curvy, or twisty with lots of turns? Whatever your preference, you’ll find it at the 4* Camping L’Atlantique, the campsite near Beg-Meil in southern Brittany.

Fouesnant lies in the Baie de la Forêt  across the water from the busy fishing port of Concarneau. To the rear of this little town is a small forest and a river where you can hire boats to sali down to the sea.

With 2 pool complexes that include an outdoor pool and water slides, you can enjoy an early morning swim indoors, then, after lunch, kick back in the spa. Or maybe you’d like to take the kids to explore the new indoor play centre or for a ride on the payable carousel? When evening comes, you’ll have the choice of a restaurant, takeaway and a bar, and in peak season the owners organise competitions, sports and discos, too.

You’ll discover a beach right on your doorstep. The walk to the beach even takes you across a stream and through a nature reserve - great for spotting wildlife.

This is southern Brittany about 6 KMs from Fouesnant, another nice campsite, and you can very soon be in Quimper on the D45 & D34 roads (direct route) where we suggest you take the Park & Ride rather than try to park in the city.

A little way east of your campsite is Benodet which is a bustling holiday resort in high season, and it is well worth paying it a visit.

Just around the bay from Beg-Meil is the old fishing port of Concarneau, one of the busiest ports in France where you can buy fish direct from the trawlers (if you get up early enough).
