This 4* campsite opens in mid April and closes in late September. Further down this page we list all the activities & facilities of Camping Embruns as well as providing information about the best methods of getting there by train, plane and ferry.
Camping Embruns is situated on the peninsula of Lege-Cap-Ferret in the
Arcachon Basin where you will discover vast beaches, beautiful forests, oyster
villages and ports. The campsite is superbly located amidst a pine forest.
Just for your information, the huge Foret de Lege et Garonne lies at the back of your campsite and is a haven for wildlife, walking and cycling.
The campsite offers an array of activities such as a fantastic water park,
or why not hire a bike and explore some of the beautiful surroundings. You’ll
be perfectly catered for with a bar and restaurant on site as well as nightly
entertainment for all the family. There’s also plenty to do just outside
of the campsite; try out surfing, discover canoeing or spend your day on the
local golf course.
Yes, head for the coast and you will find that surfing here is as good as anywhere in Europe.
Enjoy the calm waters of the Arcachon basin only 700m away from the campsite. Discover the tip of the peninsula and its lighthouse (Plage Mirador) and the beautiful waves of the ocean beaches (5 miles) or head down to the lake to do some fishing.
The beautiful city of Bordeaux is situated only 31 miles from the campsite.
There you can explore the many historical monuments, including the Grand
Theatre, Place de la Bourse, Saint André Cathedral and stroll through the
ancient districts of Saint-Michel and Saint-Pierre.
Tip: If you visit Bordeaux, and we surely hope you will, then take a Park & Ride bus into the city as parking your car there is a nightmare.
