About Camping le Pontet
This is an area which is famous for it's gastronomy and historic past.
If you looking for a peaceful parc, offering an authentic French holiday experience whilst being perfectly placed for exploring the Dordogne area then look no further. Camping Le Pontet has got you covered in an idyllic setting on the banks of the River Isle which offers easy access for road use, shopping & exploring Saint Astier and Périgueux.
Situated just 500m from the pretty town of Saint Astier and on the doorstep of the River Isle and Dordogne region, this parc really is a great example of European holidaying. You‘ll find a paddling pool for the little ones beside a larger size pool for the grownups. However, if fresh water is more your thing then head to the riverside for paddling and fishing against a beautiful woodland backdrop alongside banks smattered with 16th Century chateaux.
If sightseeing further afield is on the agenda then why not drive into Bergerac to sample the vino or explore Périgueux (only 18km from parc), the region's capital and its museums. This parc is a mere 5 minutes away from the A89 (the main road between Brive-la-Gaillard and Bordeaux), so is brilliant for visiting the local area, although we do recommend a car if you want to venture further than Saint Astier. Please note, due to the town centre location some traffic noise can be heard across the parc.
