About Camping le Caperou

Choose Camping Le Capeyrou and you'll stumble across one of the Dordogne's best kept secrets.

This small, intimate parc is set on the banks of the Dordogne River, beneath a majestic cliff-top castle made of limestone - there is a guided tour which we highly recommend. On parc, there are only 100 tent pitches, because of its designation by the French government as a protégée (protected) area.

A view of BeynacIt's luxurious camping only at this parc, as you'll stay in one of our safari tents and it won’t be long until you've settled in, thanks to the parc's friendly owners. While there’s no restaurant or shop on site, you definitely won't go hungry - take a trip to a restaurant at neighbouring Auberge 50 metres away which serves tasty local produce, and there is also a supermarket across the road.

Lascaux Caves

Ancient man really made a mark on the Dordogne! There are cave paintings from the Paleolithic era at Lascaux, and many more more artefacts at the National Museum of Prehistory, or you can trace the evolution of man at Perhisto Parc.

Baynac is virtually next door and you can see it from your campsite. This little town still has cobbled streets and houses which will entrance you.
