Camping Domaine de la Paille Basse with Canvas Holidays

The 5* Camping Domaine de la Paille Basse opens in mid May and closes in mid September. Further down this page we list all the facilities the campsite offers as well as the best methods of getting there by train, plane and ferry.

This campsite really is certainly something special. Nestled in the gorgeous green Dordogne countryside, high up on a hill sits the 5* Domaine de la Paille Basse, one of the Castels group of campsites. The site is an old medieval village which has been entirely restored in keeping with the local and historic architecture of this region.

Domaine de la Paille Basse is a fantastic base for an active holiday with lots of activities arranged on site and plenty to do and see off site too. On site the tranquil pool area is the perfect spot to soak up the sunshine and relax. Kids can play around in the children's pool and there are waterslides too for the more adventurous. In the evening, take a seat in the old barn that now houses the pretty restaurant to enjoy some delicious regional dishes.

Please note that some facilities and activities are only available during high season. Please check at the time of booking if there is an activity or facility which is crucial for your holiday.
