Camping le Lac Bleu at Doussard, Rhone Alps
Open from early April until Mid September
The 4* Camping le Lac Bleu is set on the edge of Lake Annecy and
this campsite has its own beach and jetty and a short walk brings you to the
lake ferry. The site has breathtaking views and around 240 pitches divided by
privet and beech hedges. This site is perfect for walking, cycling or sailing
and in low season provides a nice peaceful base for those just wishing to
relax. In high season it is be busy and lively. The proximity of the public
lakeside area, which is often used as a festival venue, could become either a
source of noise or an exciting place to be, depending on your point of view.
It can become pretty lively here in high season and is particularly suitable for those who like plenty of daytime and evening activities.
A nearby cycle track on a disused railway line to Annecy gives a level 16 km. ride with mountains on the left and the lake to the right. In high season there is a children’s club for the under eights. The restaurant is open early in the morning for breakfast and remains open until late in the evening, offering a large menu. Takeaway meals are also available, including pizza.
Three toilet blocks for tent campers are of a high standard with free hot showers. Good provision for babies and disabled visitors.
